Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and strategic Social Media Manager to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of our social media and digital presence. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital storytelling, understands the logistics/shipping industry, and knows how to engage and grow online communities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy aligned with company goals.
Manage daily content creation and publishing on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Twitter.
Grow brand awareness, audience engagement, and lead generation through organic and paid campaigns.
Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, design, and strategy.
Create visual content in collaboration with design team (including reels, infographics, carousels, etc.).
Track KPIs and prepare monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations.
Respond promptly to comments, messages, and mentions across platforms.
Work closely with the marketing and operations team to promote services, offers, and company updates.
Cover live events, company campaigns, and on-site shipping activities when required.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years experience in a similar role, preferably in shipping, logistics, or automotive-related sectors.
Strong knowledge of all major social platforms and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in content scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite), Canva, and basic video editing tools.
Data-driven with a solid grasp of performance metrics, analytics, and reporting.
Must be based in Jamaica and open to local travel and on-ground event coverage.
Strong creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required):
SEO and content marketing understanding
Paid social advertising experience (Meta, Google, TikTok Ads)
Photography/videography skills
Email marketing familiarity (e.g., Mailchimp)
